The Valactis™ Platform Technology
A systematic R&D approach for product screening optimization and development of novel Biologics
The Valactis™ Platform is exclusive to BiolActis and consists of different phases leading to the development and optimization of MPM products. In the first phase, L. kefiranofaciens proprietary bacteria strains are used to ferment specific substrates. Fermentation parameters such as time, temperature and pH control can all be adapted in order to produce different types of original Multi Plex Matrices. Once optimal bacteria growth has been reached, the products are treated and concentrated into a specific MPM by a 2-step proprietary process using customized industrial equipment.
Each MPM’s own characteristics are afterwards analyzed by the use of a High Throughput Screening System (Galactis™) which identifies potential health benefits of each product. The company carries on with safety and efficacy validation on animal disease models before performing a “benchmarking” selection of products with health benefits comparable to those of established pharmaceutical drugs but without the side effects. When the effectiveness reaches a satisfying level compared to the recognized standards, Clinical Trials in humans are carried out according to the Good Clinical Practice code as performed by the Pharmaceutical Industry.
