Indication: AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES
MPM-TH21007 reduces proliferative and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
MPM-TH21007 was tested in an arthritis model
(air-pouch model) and LPS-induced septic shock.
MPM-TH21007 inhibits neutrophil infiltration in tissues during the arthritis model.
MPM-TH21007 inhibits inflammatory cytokines TNFa, IL-1ß and IL-6 but has no impact on pro-Th1 cytokine IFNgamma indicating an inhibition of another pathway than Th1.
The mechanism of action is related to inhibition of the Th17-pathway, which is associated with autoimmune diseases such as arthritis and allergies.
This new mechanism of action has never been associated with any other natural or pharmaceutical treatment for autoimmune diseases.
