MPM-FB036 maintains a normal development of adipose tissues in individuals under a normal or high-calorie diets.
MPM-FB036 was tested for weight management in a high-fructose diet, high-fat diet and on hormone-induced obesity (ovariectomized rats).
MPM-FB036 prevents lean adipose tissues to become obese adipose tissues.
MPM-FB036 contributes to a satiety explaining partly the overall weight loss (50% reduction of food intake after 2 hours).
MPM-FB036 reduces significantly hypertension (systolic blood pressure) after a 4-week administration.
Expansion of the adipose tissues during weight gain leads to the recruitment of macrophages by adipocytes. MPM-FB036 prevents obesity through the Th17-pathway by negatively regulating the granulocyte-dependent response and thus preventing recruitment of immune cells like macrophages in adipose tissues.
